Joe Burrow Injury Update 2023

Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow Out for 2023 Season

QB Confident in Recovery, Expects Full Return for 2024

Burrow to Undergo Wrist Surgery; Long-Term Prognosis Bright

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will miss the remainder of the 2023 season after tearing a ligament in his right wrist during Thursday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The injury occurred in the first quarter when Burrow was sacked by Ravens linebacker Odafe Oweh. Burrow was immediately taken to the locker room for evaluation and later underwent an MRI that revealed the torn ligament.

Burrow was limited to 10 games in 2023 due to the injury, which has ended his season prematurely. The Bengals announced that Burrow will undergo surgery on Monday to repair the torn ligament.

Despite the setback, Burrow is confident in his recovery and expects to be ready to go for the 2024 season.

"I'm disappointed that I won't be able to finish the season with my teammates, but I'm confident in the work I'm putting in to make sure I'm healthy and ready to go next year," Burrow said in a statement.

The Bengals are also optimistic about Burrow's long-term prognosis. The team released a statement saying that the expectation is that Burrow will be ready to go next season with no carryover effects.

While the injury is a major setback for the Bengals, they are confident that Burrow will be back and better than ever in 2024.
