Patty Mills Signs New Contract with Nets

The 3-point shooting guard re-signs for two years, $14.5 million

Mills is one of the best 3-point shooters in the league

Patty Mills has re-signed with the Brooklyn Nets on a two-year, $14.5 million deal, the team announced on Tuesday. Mills, who helped the Nets reach the playoffs last season, is one of the best 3-point shooters in the league and will be a key part of the team's offense moving forward. The Aussie guard averaged 12.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game last season, shooting 43.6% from 3-point range. He is also a career 39.8% 3-point shooter.

Mills' re-signing is a significant move for the Nets, who are looking to build on their success from last season. The team finished with a 44-38 record and reached the Eastern Conference semifinals, where they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in seven games. Mills will be a key part of the Nets' offense, alongside Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden.

The Nets are hopeful that Mills can help them take the next step and win their first NBA championship. The team has not won a championship since 1976, when they were still known as the New Jersey Nets.
